When viewing live view from my Hikvision NVR / DVR or camera. I see green boxes flashing and moving around people. What are they there for and how can i stop this?

When viewing live view from my Hikvision NVR / DVR or camera. I see green boxes flashing and moving around people. What are they there for and how can i stop this?

Answer:

The green boxes are there for troubleshooting purposes. For example when trying to figureout a motion recording issue. These will indicate motion. 

These cam be turned off by logging into the devices web interface. Go to "Configuration->Local" and change the "Rules" from "Enable" to "Disable and then click "Save". This will turn off the green boxes.
