How can I view my NVR/DVR on my computer outside the network?

Answer:

There are 2 ways of doing so:

• First the NVR/DVR must be working on the mobile phone via Hik-Connect
• Install iVMS on the computer
• Once in iVMS, there is a “Not Logged in” option towards the top right. From there you will need to log into the Hik-Connect account
• The cameras will then appear on iVMS

The second option:

• The NVR will need to be port forwarded (Server port, HTTP port, and RTSP port will need to be open)
• You can then use the public IP to view on a browser or you can use iVMS 4200 to add the device
