When using Hik-Connect I can view my cameras when I'm home on my own wifi, but as soon as I leave I can no longer view them. Why?
This implies that the device was added to your account via the local IP Address, so it is only able to access the cameras when on your local network. To access them from any network you will need to either go through the Hik-Connect service, i.e. add via QR code or serial number, or add via your public IP Address with port 8000 forwarded.
