Symptom 1: 

Voice from indoor is heard at the door by the visitor, but indoor cannot hear visitor. 

Possible Solutions: 

1. Check if the door station is added to an NVR/DVR. If so, check the encoder setting in recorder or iVMS-4200 and make sure stream enables both video & audio 

2. Make sure any protective film is removed for both devices. This has been known to block audio. 

 

Symptom 2: 

Voice is heard from door at the indoor station, but visitor at the door cannot hear voice from indoor. 


Possible Solutions: 

1. This appears to be a known issue specifically going from 1st gen intercom 1.4 to 1.5.0. After updating ALL intercom pieces in the system, restore default setting to ALL of them then start over. This generally fixes the problem.

2. Make sure any protective film is removed for both devices . This has been known to block audio.

Initiate 2 way audio talking from the HC app to the doorstaiton DS-KV8103


iOS HC app - Error "Failed to turn the 2-way audio on ..."

Android app - there is no option to turn the 2 way audio to the intercom


Solution/Explanation 

1st Gen 2 wire intercom doe not support 2 way audio initiate from the Hik-Connect app. 


Additional note:

2nd Gen 2 wire intercom support the feature.
